Israeli army arrested Palestinian Ahd Tamimi on Tuesday for 'humiliating' an Israeli soldier raiding her house in an online video.

The video, which went viral on social media, showed Tamimi slapping an Israeli soldier, after he had stormed into her house and shot fifteen year old Mohammed Tamimi.

Mohammed Tamimi was shot to the head and is currently in critical condition in intensive care at the Arab Istishari Hospital.

In the early hours of the morning, Israeli military patrols raided the village of Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah  and made their way to the Tamimi residence.

Israeli soldiers stormed the house, and brutally beat up the occupants, confiscating cameras and computers.

The arrest was posted by Jana Tamimi, a friend of Ahd, who explained what had occurred during the night.

Israeli social media users reacted in anger to the video of Ahd confronting the soldiers. Naftali Bennett, the right wing Israeli education minister said, "these girls should be imprisoned and locked up for life"

The Israeli army also pitched in, saying that it had been a mistake to not arrest her "immediately" as she "tried to block the soldiers' mission".

Ahd's arrest came in response to the Israeli outcry over her 'humiliating' Israeli soldiers.
